Rockets Defeat Thunder, 114-110
The Houston Rockets defeated the host Oklahoma City Thunder, 114-110, at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday.

Oklahoma City led for the first 40 minutes of this game but Houston rode a 41-29 fourth quarter to their comeback win. In fact, the Rockets finished the game on a 29-14 run across the final eight minutes to prevail. Houston shot 51 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range while holding Oklahoma City to 47 percent from the field and 25 percent from long range. The Rockets also out-assisted the Thunder, 25-16, while doubling them up in blocks, 12-6.

The Rockets (5-16) lost Christian Wood (ankle) and Kevin Porter Jr (thigh) to injuries in the first half of this game but were led by Jae'Sean Tate and his 32 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks. Armoni Brooks led the bench with 18 points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Garrison Matthews totaled 14 points and two boards.

The Thunder (6-15) were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, accruing a season-high 39 points, four rebounds and two assists. Luguentz Dort amassed 19 points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals. James Robinson-Earl registered 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while Ty Jerome led the bench with 11 points.

On deck for Houston is a home matchup with the Orlando Magic on Friday. As for Oklahoma City, they play the second half of a back-to-back set on Thursday in a road matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies.
