Hawks Come From Behind, Hold On To Get Past Pacers
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Indiana Pacers, 114-111, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

The Hawks (12-10) have been struggling on the road all season long, but they managed to come from behind in the fourth quarter and steal a victory over the Pacers (9-15), as the home team just couldn’t find a way to close things out. This was a back-and-forth contest, though, as Atlanta grabbed a 38-29 lead in the first quarter only to see the Pacers respond with a 28-27 score in the second quarter. The Pacers erased that eight-point margin with a 31-22 score in the third quarter and appeared to be in a good position to hold things down, but the Hawks had other plans. Atlanta outscored its rivals by a 27-23 score in the fourth quarter, and that was enough to secure the win despite playing on the road. With the win, Atlanta improved to 4-8 away from home while the Pacers fell to 6-5 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Trae Young was the leading scorer for the Hawks and finished with 33 points and 10 assists, but he also added eight rebounds and two steals. Kevin Huerter chipped in with 19 points, and John Collins contributed 14 points and four blocks while adding three boards and two dimes. Lou Williams (12 points) and Delon Wright (11 points, five rebounds) looked good off the bench. Atlanta shot 51.2 percent from the field.

Malcolm Brogdon led the Pacers with 27 points, nine assists and six rebounds, while Domantas Sabonis contributed 22 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Myles Turner contributed 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, and rookie Chris Duarte delivered 11 points, two assists and two rebounds. Jeremy Lamb added 11 points off the bench. Indiana shot 48.9 percent from the field.
