Cavaliers Blast Heat, 111-85
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Miami Heat, 111-85, at FTX Arena on Wednesday night.

The Cavaliers (12-10) were road underdogs to a Heat (13-9) team that had lost just twice at home, yet Miami was coming into the contest short-handed due to injuries to Bam Adebayo (thumb) and Jimmy Butler (tailbone). However, it was Cleveland that set an immediate dominant tone by jumping out to a 31-16 first-quarter lead. The advantage was 18 by halftime, and the visitors left no doubt as to the outcome when they added another six points to their edge in the third. The Cavs shot 54.4 percent, including 51.6 percent from three-point range, and won the rebounding battle by a 46-28 margin.

Kevin Love led the Cavaliers with 22 points, complementing them with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Jarrett Allen generated a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double that included one assist and five blocks. Evan Mobley compiled 17 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and one steal. Darius Garland supplied 16 points, seven assists and three rebounds. Lamar Stevens turned in 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Isaac Okoro managed 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

Tyler Herro paced the Heat with 21 points, supplementing them with six assists and one rebound. Dewayne Dedmon furnished 11 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent posted matching 11-point totals.

The Cavaliers remain on the road and visit the Washington Wizards on Friday night, while the Heat visit the Indiana Pacers on Friday night as well.
