Warriors Host Trail Blazers on Friday
The Golden State Warriors play host to the Portland Trail Blazers at Chase Center on Friday.

The Trail Blazers (10-9) had an ugly loss on Wednesday night, losing to a Sacramento Kings team that lost eight of their previous nine games before that. What's even more discouraging is the fact that Sacramento played that game without Richaun Holmes and an ejected De'Aaron Fox. That sort of defeat shows just how much of a struggle it's been for this club, despite entering that game in the midst of a four-game winning streak. The one silver lining in that defeat was the play of Jusuf Nurkic. The big man tallied 28 points, 17 rebounds and five assists on 12-of-17 from the field in that gem, showing Chauncey Billups why he deserves more minutes. The big man is playing just 24 minutes a night, and it's hard to understand why with lines like that.

The Warriors (15-2) looked to be in trouble when they trailed by a season-high 19 points on Wednesday, but they ended up winning that game by 20 points. That huge turnaround is a good indicator of where this team is at right now, making minced meat of the rest of the NBA. That marked Golden State's 15th win in just 17 outings this season, entering this matchup in the midst of a five-game winning streak. What's really scary is that this club dominates on both ends of the floor. They currently rank first in both defensive efficiency and points scored, beating their opponents by double-digits on a nightly basis. That has them looking like the most dangerous team in the NBA, and they happen to be adding one of the best shooters of all time in the coming weeks. Look out for Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry!

Portland has controlled this series over the last two years, winning four of their last five games over the Warriors.
