Hornets Play Host To Streaking Timberwolves
The Charlotte Hornets play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Spectrum Center on Friday evening.

This marks the first game back home for the Hornets (12-8), after a three-game road trip, where they went 2-1, with a loss in Atlanta, followed by wins in Washington and Orlando. They will look to build on the momentum of a two-game winning streak and add to their, 6-2, home record. Miles Bridges continues to lead the team, averaging 20.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game. LaMelo Ball has kept up his great play and is averaging 19.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.0 steals, while Gordon Hayward is averaging 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists, per game. The Hornets are averaging 111.9 points per game, which is fourth most in the league, however, they are having trouble on the defensive end, where they are giving up an average of 112.4 points against, which is third most in the league.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves (9-9) have won their last five games. They will look to keep the momentum going as they face the first game of a two game road trip, with the hopes of adding to their, 3-3, road record. Anthony Edwards continues to impress, as he leads the team, averaging 22.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Karl-Anthony Towns is also playing well, averaging 22.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks, while D'Angelo Russell is averaging 18.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game. The Timberwolves are averaging 107.4 points per game, while shooting an average of 42.4 percent from the field, which is fourth worst in the league. Patrick Beverley (groin) is listed as questionable for action on Friday.
