Lakers and Pacers Meet in Indiana
The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

The Lakers (9-10) continue to find consistency virtually impossible to come by in a very difficult first month-plus of the new season, and they'll enter Wednesday's matchup having dropped five of the last six games. Their most recent stumble came Tuesday night, when they fell to the New York Knicks by a 106-100 score in a game LeBron James missed due to his one-game suspension for an altercation with the Pistons' Isaiah Stewart. Russell Westbrook led the Lakers with a 31-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist triple-double that included two steals. Anthony Davis furnished 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. Avery Bradley supplied 15 points, nine boards, one assist and two steals. Malik Monk and Carmelo Anthony posted matching 12-point tallies while adding four and three rebounds, respectively. Monk also dished out four assists and two steals.

The Lakers are likely to list Austin Reaves (hamstring) as no better than questionable for Wednesday's game. Kendrick Nunn (knee) and Trevor Ariza (ankle) will remain out.

The Pacers (8-11) haven't exactly had an easy time themselves, but they will enter Wednesday's contest with a modest two-game winning streak. Their most recent success came Monday night, when they blasted the Chicago Bulls by a 109-77 score. Domantas Sabonis led the Pacers with a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double that also included four assists and one steal. Malcolm Brogdon turned in 16 points, seven assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Justin Holiday furnished 14 points, four boards, two assists and one steal. Myles Turner generated a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double that included four blocks. Caris LeVert matched Turner's scoring total and provided two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

The Pacers will list LeVert (back) as questionable for Wednesday's game.

Wednesday's game marks the first of two meetings between the teams this season. The Lakers swept the two-game 2020-21 season series from the Pacers.
