Jalen McMillan

22-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
2024 Fantasy Outlook
McMillan was very productive at Washington. However, a knee injury last year cost the receiver about two months, and his draft stock may have tumbled as a result. With the No. 92 pick in the draft, the Buccaneers added the 6-foot-1, 197-pound receiver. The Tampa Bay coaching staff has talked about moving Chris Godwin the slot after the veteran played often on the outside last year. Should that happen, McMillan may immediately see an outside receiver role when the Buccaneers go to three-receiver sets. Last season, Trey Palmer was the No. 3 receiver, though Palmer is primarily a slot player. McMillan would potentially benefit from the attention that defenses must give to Mike Evans and Godwin. Overall, seeing regular target volume may be an issue for the rookie, but McMillan landed in an excellent spot where he could be productive. Read Past Outlooks
Tampa adds third-round wideout
WRTampa Bay Buccaneers
April 26, 2024
The Buccaneers selected McMillan in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 92nd overall.
ANALYSIS
McMillan might not have as much hype as former Washington teammate Rome Odunze or even Ja'Lynn Polk, but McMillan was about as productive as Odunze and was more productive than Polk prior to McMillan missing roughly two months with a knee injury in 2023. In other words, if McMillan never got hurt, then Polk might not have been drafted ahead of the former. McMillan (6-foot-1, 197 pounds) demonstrated his skill set by producing alongside the likes of Odunze and Polk in college, and his solid combine performance proved the NFL viability of his athleticism (4.47-second 40, 37-inch vertical). Trey Palmer should not be in the WR3 role much longer for Tampa.

Pittsburgh bound in Kiper mock
WRFree Agent
April 13, 2024
In his latest two-round mock draft, Mel Kiper of ESPN.com has the Steelers taking McMillan in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 51st overall.
ANALYSIS
The Steelers' passing attack is going to look quite different in 2024. George Pickens is the top wideout on the team after Diontae Johnson was traded to the Panthers, and quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudloph were swapped out for Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Van Jefferson is the second wideout on the depth chart, so adding McMillan -- who was a dynamic slot receiver for Washington -- would make sense for Pittsburgh. Injuries limited McMillan to seven games last season, but he registered 79 catches for 1,098 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022 with the Huskies.
