2024 Fantasy Outlook
Lazard signed with the Jets in 2023 to play with Aaron Rodgers. With Rodgers playing just three snaps all season, Lazard had his worst season since he started playing regular snaps in 2019. Through the first five games, the receiver wasn’t terrible. During that time, Lazard averaged 2.6 receptions and 40 yards. Unfortunately, he was an afterthought in the offense over his last nine games. In that final stretch, Lazard caught a total of 10 passes for 109 yards. After the Jets signed Mike Williams in free agency, Lazard may need a starting receiver to miss time to see significant snaps. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Big-money bust in 2023
Lazard finished the season with 23 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown on 49 targets.
ANALYSIS
Lazard signed a four-year, $44 million contract with the Jets in the offseason and was expected to offer a familiar face on the outside for Aaron Rodgers, but after Rodgers tore his Achilles in Week 1, Lazard failed to establish any chemistry with New York's other quarterbacks despite handling a starting role on the outside for most of the season. He appeared in 14 games, sitting two out as a healthy scratch and missing one due to an illness. The Jets have almost no choice but to bring Lazard back given his contract, but they'll almost certainly look for an upgrade at wide receiver to start opposite Garrett Wilson and push Lazard down the depth chart in 2024.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Will get chance to rebound
Lazard will be given every opportunity to rebound from his awful 2023 season, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Jets have little choice but to give the 28-year-old wideout another chance, considering that Lazard's $10 million salary for 2024 is fully guaranteed, and another club isn't going to trade for a player who managed a miserable 23 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown over 14 games. He averaged 50 catches for 650 yards and seven TDs over his final two seasons in Green Bay before signing with the Jets, and the team will hope having a health Aaron Rodgers under center in 2024 allows Lazard to approach that level of production again.

2020
One of the biggest wideouts in the league, Lazard went undrafted in 2018 despite accruing 3,360 yards at Iowa State and showing well at the combine (4.55 40, 122-inch broad jump, 38-inch vertical at 6-5, 227). Teams were wrong to overlook him, but if he was ever going to become a star it probably would've happened last year when he got the chance to be Aaron Rodgers' No. 1 receiver in Green Bay. The results weren't awful -- 60-788-6 on 100 targets in 15 targets -- but his huge jump in volume from previous seasons somewhat predictably coincided with a big drop in efficiency (7.9 YPT after three seasons at 8.6 or higher). Lazard is now with the Jets on a four-year, $44 million contract that includes half the money guaranteed at signing, and while he will benefit from playing with Rodgers again, he won't be the No. 1 receiver in an offense that already has 2022 first-round pick Garrett Wilson.
