Bucks Hold On To Defeat Celtics
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Boston Celtics, 103-101, at Fiserv Forum on Saturday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals in the 2022 NBA Playoffs. The Bucks now hold a 2-1 lead in the series.

The Bucks and the Celtics played a back-and-forth contest that was only decided in the final seconds of the contest, though the Bucks could have easily found themselves at the other end of the spectrum if a few shots hadn’t gone their way. Milwaukee grabbed the lead early on and held a three-point advantage following the first quarter, but Boston responded with a 31-24 score in the second quarter -- giving them a slim advantage at the break. The Bucks played the second half with a different attitude, though, and they outscored their rivals by a 34-17 score so they seemed to be in control, but the Celtics didn’t give up and were right in the thick of pulling a comeback, only to fall short in the final seconds. The Celtics could have tied the game in the final play, but Al Horford’s tip was made after the final buzzer and as a result, the Bucks escaped with a huge win that solidifies their home-field advantage thanks to their Game 1 victory in Boston.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was magnificent for the Bucks in his one, as he finished with 42 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks. Jrue Holiday had 25 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Brook Lopez posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double that also included two assists and two steals. Pat Connaughton added 11 points and eight rebounds coming off the bench.

Jaylen Brown was the best player for the Celtics and finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds while also adding four assists, and Robert Wiliams III ended with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Al Horford had 22 points and 16 rebounds, but he also added five assists and two blocks. Jayson Tatum struggled badly -- 10 points but shooting just 4-for-19 from the field. Derrick White had 14 points.
