Bucks Defeat Celtics in Game 1, 101-89
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the host Boston Celtics, 101-89, in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at TD Garden on Sunday.

A 56-46 first half carried Milwaukee to their win, holding the lead for the final 30 minutes of this game. In fact, the Bucks got their lead up to 17 points at times and led by at least five points for the entirety of the second half. Milwaukee shot 41 percent from the field (37-of-90) while holding Boston to 33 percent (28-of-84). The Bucks also out-rebounded the Celtics, 54-48, while outscoring them in the paint, 34-20. Milwaukee also outscored Boston in fastbreak points, 28-8.

The Bucks (1-0) were led by Jrue Holiday, collecting 25 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals. Giannis Antetokounmpo amassed 24 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists and two blocks. Bobby Portis provided 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Brook Lopez amassed six points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

The Celtics (0-1) were led by Jayson Tatum, tallying 21 points, six rebounds and six assists. Al Horford accrued 12 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Jaylen Brown generated 12 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. Marcus Smart finished with 10 points, six assists and two steals, while Derrick White led the bench with 10 points and four boards.

Game 2 will be played in Boston on Tuesday.

Warriors Edge Grizzlies In Memphis
The Golden State Warriors defeated the host Memphis Grizzlies, 117-116, in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi Finals at FedEx Forum on Sunday afternoon.

The Grizzlies got out to a strong start and led, 32-24, after one quarter. They kept the upper hand through the second, but the Warriors kept it close, as they trailed by six at halftime. The Warriors picked up the pace in the third and rallied late in the quarter to take a one-point edge heading into the final frame. They kept the momentum going and pushed to a 10-point lead early in the fourth, but the Grizzlies fought back to reclaim an edge, with 2:19 left. The Grizzlies led by two, when Klay Thompson hit the go-ahead bucket for the Warriors, with 36 seconds on the clock. The visitors managed to hold it down defensively in the remaining time and closed out hard-fought road win.

Jordan Poole led the Warriors with 31 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and two blocks, in 38 minutes off the bench. Stephen Curry followed up with 24 points, three rebounds, four assists and a block, while Andrew Wiggins chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds. The Warriors shot 48 percent from the field, including 14-of-38 from long range.

Meanwhile, Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 34 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, in 38 minutes. Jaren Jackson followed up with 33 points, 10 rebounds and a block, while De'Anthony Melton chipped in 14 points, seven rebounds, three steals and a block. The Grizzlies shot 43 percent from the field, including 16-of-40 from deep.

Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday in Memphis.
