Mavericks and Warriors Reconvene for Game 2
The Dallas Mavericks take on the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on Friday night in Game 2 of their Western Conference Finals series. The Warriors lead the series, 1-0.

The Mavericks (0-1) came into Wednesday night's series opener with the confidence stemming from having won four of the last five games in their semifinal-round clash with the Suns, as well as three of four games from the Warriors during the regular season. However, it became apparent early in Game 1 that matters would be different, with the Dallas down by 19 after three quarters on the way to a 112-87 loss. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 20 points, complementing them with seven rebounds, four assists and one steal. Spencer Dinwiddie turned in 17 points, two assists and one rebound. Jalen Brunson furnished 14 points, four boards, four assists and one steal. Reggie Bullock supplied 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

The Mavericks will remain without Tim Hardaway (foot) for Friday's game.

The Warriors (1-0) dominated on both ends of the floor in Wednesday's lopsided win, shooting 56.1 percent and prevailing in the battle of the boards by a 51-35 margin. Stephen Curry paced the Warriors with a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double that included four assists. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole generated matching 19-point, three-assist efforts, with Wiggins adding five rebounds. Klay Thompson delivered 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Draymond Green registered 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Otto Porter and Kevon Looney matched Green's scoring while pulling down six and five rebounds, respectively. Looney added four assists.

The Warriors will remain without Gary Payton (elbow) for Friday's game. Andre Iguodala (neck) will carry a questionable tag.

Friday's game marks the sixth meeting between the teams since the start of the regular season. The Mavericks have won three of the first five games.
