Timberwolves Topple Kings, 107-97
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Sacramento Kings, 107-97, at Target Center on Wednesday night.

The Timberwolves (5-9) opened up the contest playing some particularly impressive defense, limiting the Kings (6-9) to 18 points. Sacramento bounced back in the second, however, totaling 30 points and building a four-point lead going into halftime. Minnesota would come out of intermission a refocused team, however, ultimately outscoring the visitors by a 63-49 margin in the second half. The Kings won the battle of the boards, 47-35, but they shot just 36.6 percent.

De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 28 points, complementing them five assists and one rebound. Buddy Hield delivered 16 points, three boards and two assists. Harrison Barnes supplied 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Richaun Holmes managed 12 points, seven boards and one block.

Anthony Edwards paced the Timberwolves with 26 points, supplementing them with five rebounds, one assist and one block. Karl-Anthony Towns totaled 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks. D'Angelo Russell furnished 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block. Patrick Beverley compiled 14 points, seven assists, six rebounds, three blocks and one steal.

The Kings head back home to host the Toronto Raptors on Friday night, while the Timberwolves remain home and host the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.
