FlyweightUFC
June 22, 2022
Belbita will fight Lookboonmee in a strawweight fight at a UFC event on September 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Entering off her third loss in four UFC fights, Belbita looks to return to the victory column, taking on a much smaller Lookboonmee. Belbita stands six inches taller than Lookboonmee, while also having a six-inch reach advantage. Belbita lands 6.43 significant strikes per minute, landing on 42% of attempts. Her high volume of significant strikes mixed with her significant reach advantage pair well with Lookboonmee's 2.81 significant strikes absorbed per minute on 54% strike defense.

Drops very tight decision in Vegas
FlyweightUFC
February 19, 2022
Belbita lost to Gloria de Paula via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a close fight which was extremely difficult to score, but there is a definite case to be made that Belbita deserved the decision. The two women fought to even terms on the feet, but it was Belbita who varied her attacks much more. On the flip side, she did spend a good portion of the bout being controlled by de Paula along the fence, although the latter did little with her positional advantage. Entering with a 1-2 record in the UFC and without much momentum behind her, this was a decision that the 25-year-old Romanian had to have, and she didn't get it.

Big moments lead to first UFC win

July 24, 2021
Belbita defeated Hannah Goldy via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC on ESPN 27 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Belbita came into this contest with significant advantages in height and reach, and put them both to good use, landing a flush right hand in the first round to send Goldy to the canvas. A close second frame was followed by another big right hand in the third that forced the opponent to clinch to avoid being knocked out. Belbita took a few too many flush head kicks against someone she had significant physical advantages over, but she is a strong enough kickboxer to potentially climb the ladder at strawweight. She improves to 14-6 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.

Handed medical suspension
FlyweightUFC
July 17, 2020
Belbita has been given a six-month medical suspension by the UFC following her loss to Lianna Jojua via submission at UFC Fight Night, Steven Marrocco of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Belbita needs an MRI of her right elbow in order to avoid an extended time on the shelf. While she landed a take down on Jojua, she ultimately left her arm exposed, which led to her losing from an armbar. She is now winliness through her first two UFC fights.
