Scheduled to rematch Mayes
Nascimento will fight Don'Tale Mayes in a heavyweight bout at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 4, according to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com.
ANALYSIS
Nascimento defeated Mayes during their first fight in 2020. But since then, the Brazilian has gone 2-1 (1) with each of his wins being via split decision. Mayes has been a little more impressive, having gone 3-1 (1) with two TKO wins. However, Nascimento will have the hometown advantage to log a definitive victory, as his next fight is in his native Brazil.

Another split decision win
Nascimento defeated Ilir Latifi via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a second straight split decision win for Nascimento, albeit the second straight that he clearly deserved to win. Rodrigo did exactly what he was supposed to do in this fight, using his massive size edge to his advantage by standing at distance and beating Latifi up on the feet. Although Nascimento did allow a takedown in each of the final two rounds, he actually defended fairly well on the mat and didn't allow Latifi to gain total control of the fight. The 30-year-old Brazilian now sports a 3-1 (1NC) mark in his first five UFC bouts.

Booked to fight in May
Nascimento is set to fight Ilir Latifi at a UFC event on May 20, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Nascimento will return to the octagon for the first time since September when he defeated Tanner Boser via split decision. Nascimento has an advantage in both height and reach but Latifi has more experience as a fighter in the UFC. Both will look to build off their respective wins when they meet in the octagon in just over two months' time.

Takes decision in Vegas
Nascimento defeated Tanner Boser via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Don't let the "split decision" term fool you -- Nascimento deserved to win this fight, and did so as a surprising +150 underdog. Rodrigo was giving away plenty of power and technical skill on the feet, so he wisely went to his grappling to secure the win. He landed 3-of-7 takedown attempts, good for 8:01 worth of control time. Boser's offensive arsenal is very limited, and making him try to do damage off the mat is most certainly the way to go. The Brazilian improves to 2-1 (1NC) in his first four UFC bouts.

Boser fight back on
Nascimento will fight Tanner Boser in a heavyweight fight at a UFC event on September 7, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After being forced to withdraw from their original fight in April, Nascimento and Boser will face off afterall. Nascimento will need every inch of his four and a half inch reach advantage to slow down Boser's standing attack. Nascimento has not fought since testing positive for ritalinic acid during his July 17 TKO of Aland Baudot in 2021.
