Klein fight on tap
LightweightUFC
April 3, 2024
Moises is scheduled to compete against L'udovit Klein in a lightweight fight at the UFC's June 8 event set for an undisclosed location, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Both lightweights are scheduled to compete against each other after dominating late-notice replacements for their previous fights. Moises defeated Mitch Ramirez on March 16, just a little over two weeks after the latter took up the fight. Meanwhile, Klein defeated AJ Cunningham, who fought in under a week's notice.

Dominates late-notice replacement
LightweightUFC
March 16, 2024
Moises defeated Mitch Ramirez via TKO (leg kicks) at 0:15 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Moises wanted to remain on this card following the withdrawal of his originally scheduled opponent Brad Riddell (undisclosed) a couple weeks ago, and he has zero issues with his late-notice replacement in Ramirez. The Brazilian did whatever he wanted against the newcomer, beating him up on the feet and landing both of his takedown attempts before finally putting Ramirez away with some devastating leg kicks early in Round 3. The Brazilian has had issues winning the "big" fight over the course of his career, but Moises does his victories over the likes of Michael Johnson and Bobby Green on his resume. He's going to roll fringe-roster fighters such as a Ramirez.
Set to face Mitch Ramirez
LightweightUFC
March 1, 2024
Moises is expected to face Mitch Ramirez in a UFC event on March 16, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moises needed a new opponent following the withdrawal of Brad Riddell due to undisclosed reasons, and all signs point to Ramirez being the guy. "The FIght Stalker" owns an 8-1-0 pro record, but if he's confirmed to face Ramirez, then it would be his UFC debut.
Needs new opponent
LightweightUFC
February 14, 2024
Moises is in need of a new opponent for UFC Vegas 88 on March 16 following the withdrawal of Brad Riddell (undisclosed), Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear what forced Riddell to bow out, but the UFC will now have to find Moises a new opponent if he wishes to stay on the card. Moises is looking to bounce back from a September defeat to Benoit Saint-Denis -- a loss that looks much better now given the steady rise of Saint-Denis to the lightweight rankings.
Fighting Riddell
LightweightUFC
January 10, 2024
Moises will fight Brad Riddell at UFC Vegas 87 on March 16, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Moises dropped his last fight against Benoit Saint-Denis in September -- a continuation of Moises' inconsistent UFC career so far. He sits at 6-5 in the promotion and 2-3 across his last five fights, though an experience advantage could help him against Riddell, who has lost three straight.
Inconsistent ways continue
LightweightUFC
September 2, 2023
Moises lost to Benoit Saint-Denis via TKO (punches) at 4:44 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Moises looked awful in this fight from start to finish but still had a chance to win. It came late in Round 1 when he managed to clamp on a deep leg lock seemingly out of nowhere. Yet, once Saint-Denis extracted himself, it was all but over. It's really hard to win when you can't get anything going on the feet and allow your opponent to land 5-of-9 takedown attempts. Few fighters on the UFC roster as are inconsistent as the 28-year-old Brazilian. Moises is 3-3 in his past half-dozen bouts dating back to February 2021. On the bright side, on a relatively lackluster night of fights, this one ended up being good enough for both men to take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
