Suarez withdrew from UFC 298 because of a knee injury, according to Matthew Wells of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
Suarez suffered a swollen knee during training camp, hence her withdrawal from UFC 298. While the swelling is considered relatively strange, it is reportedly "not a big injury" expected to keep her out long. Ideally for Suarez, she can get back to competing quickly, keeping her high contender status and championship-fighting possibilities plausible.

Suarez withdrew Tuesday for her scheduled strawweight fight against Amanda Lemos at UFC 298 in Anaheim on Feb. 17 due to unspecified reasons, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Suarez owns a perfect 7-0 record during her time in the UFC, but she'll put her winning streak on hold after withdrawing from the UFC 298 card. The promotion has added Mackenzie Dern to the card to take on Lemos in Suarez's place.

Suarez is scheduled to compete against Amanda Lemos in a strawweight fight at UFC 298 in Anaheim on Feb. 17, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Suarez is one step closer to a title fight, as her next challenger is one whose previous bout was a championship contest. Lemos lost handily to Zhang Weili, and Suarez will look to replicate what the UFC Strawweight Champion did but at Anaheim.

Suarez defeated Jessica Andrade via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:31 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 50 on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
Suarez returned after nearly a four-year absence and looked just so-so in a Round 2 submission win over Montana De La Rosa this past February. She was much more dominant here against a considerably tougher opponent in Andrade. Quite possibly the best female wrestler in the history of the sport, Suarez has landed at least two takedowns in all seven of her UFC bouts. She got Andrade to the mat three times on just three attempts. The dominant finish here would eventually go on to win her one of five $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. Every opponent Suarez faces knows what's coming their way, but we have yet to see an opponent that can stop it. Tatiana has just 10 professional fights under her belt, but she'll be 33 years of age this coming December, so the UFC might as well push her to the moon and let the chips fall where they may. Suarez has certainly held up her part of the deal to date.

Suarez will face off against Jessica Andrade at a UFC event on Aug. 5, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Suarez was originally slated to face off against Virna Jandiroba at UFC Nashville, but the 35-year-old fighter withdrew due to undisclosed reasons. Suarez will now face off against the veteran Jessica Andrade, who maintains a record of 15-9 in the UFC.
Returns from long layoff in style

Suarez defeated Montana De La Rosa via submission (guillotine choke) at 2:51 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Fighting for the first time in nearly four years, Suarez looked as good as ever. With her trademark wrestling on point as always, Tatiana landed a pair of takedowns -- one in each round -- good for 5:45 worth of control time. Suarez has dealt with a lot in recent years in terms of injury and illness, but her skill set is legitimately that of one of top female fighters in the sport. That said, she's now 32 years of age and has just nine professional fights under her belt following the long layoff, so it's imperative she fight as frequently as possible moving forward. Her ultimate ceiling is unchanged, however. In the meantime, she'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, which was awarded to all six finishers on the evening.
