Craig will fight Caio Borralho at UFC 301 on May 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Craig's loss to Brendan Allen in his last fight put him at 1-3 across his last four bouts. Meanwhile, Borralho is trending in the opposite direction after winning his first five fights since joining the UFC in April 2022.

Craig lost to Brendan Allen via submission (rear-naked choke) at 0:38 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Craig -- a long-time light heavyweight -- looked great in his middleweight debut against Andre Muniz in July, but predictably and quickly learned things wouldn't be so easy against an opponent in Allen that looks like a legitimate future title contender. Craig has pulled off countless miracle submissions over the course of his career, but he had zero answers for the physicality of Allen, who spent the vast majority of the fight in top position. All things considered, Craig was lucky to survive as long as he did. Paul will be 35 years of age in late November. Sure, the Muniz win looks great, as does his June 2021 knockout win over former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jamahal Hill, but the truth of the matter is that Craig has lost three of four dating back to July 2022 and is lightyears away from title contention in any division.
To have five-rounder against Allen

Craig will compete against Brendan Allen in a five-round middleweight bout at UFC Vegas 82 on Nov. 18, according to the UFC.
ANALYSIS
Craig will look to jump over Allen, No. 10, in the UFC's middleweight rankings by defeating the latter in a five-rounder in mid-November. Craig will look to create a new streak after defeating Andre Muniz via TKO in his last fight.
Big win in middleweight debut
Light HeavyweightUFC
July 22, 2023
Craig defeated Andre Muniz via TKO (elbows) at 4:40 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
Craig was knocked out by Johnny Walker in just over two minutes this past January, prompting him to move down from light heavyweight to middleweight despite the fact he'll be 36 years of age in late-November. He debuted at 185 pounds here and picked up a win over a legitimate opponent in Muniz after the latter fell apart in Round 2. Craig is known as a pure grappler with zero stopping power, but Muniz allowed him to land two shockingly easy takedowns in the second frame, which eventually saw Craig advance to a dominant position along the fence and land unanswered elbows that closed the show. Craig is a poor bet moving forward considering his age and limited offensive skill set, but this was a nice win. He'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.

Craig is set to face off against Andre Muniz at UFC London on July 22, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Craig, who was most recently defeated by Johnny Walker in January, will face off against Andre Muniz next. The 35-year-old Scottish fighter currently maintains a record of 8-6-1 in the UFC, but after two-consecutive losses, he will look to bounce back against Muniz in July.
Quickly finished by Johnny Walker
Light HeavyweightUFC
January 21, 2023
Craig lost to Johnny Walker via TKO (punches) at 2:16 of Round 1 at UFC 283 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
There was zero doubt Craig was giving up a ton of power and athleticism to Walker. A prolonged ground battle was likely his only path to victory, and that simply never materialized. Craig ate a punch from his opponent which staggered him and forced him to the mat in the process. He kept a hold of Walker's leg throughout, but his opponent simply used the position to fire off repeated hammerfists which forced referee Marc Goddard to step in. Craig has now lost back-to-back fights on the heels of a four-fight winning streak. Including in that string of victories was a knockout over Jamahal Hill, who very well may be UFC Light Heavyweight Champion before the night is over. Still, the 35-year-old Scot would be best served to pick up a victory his next time out.
