Wallstedt, who was dealing with a lower-body injury but is ready to return Thursday, might be called up from AHL Iowa next week, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Wallstedt has a 2.43 GAA and a .922 save percentage in 18 contests with Iowa this season. Filip Gustavsson sustained a lower-body injury and is expected to be out for at least a couple weeks, per Michael Russo of The Athletic on Monday. With Wallstedt injured at the time, Zane McIntyre was summoned from AHL Iowa on Sunday to back up Marc-Andre Fleury, but once Wallstedt is back into the swing of things, he might replace McIntyre. That would present the 21-year-old Wallstedt with an opportunity to make his NHL debut.
