DraftKings CS:GO Friday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings CS:GO series.

Games (EDT)

  • 12:00 p.m: Vitality (VIT) vs. BIG Clan (BIG)
  • 3:00 p.m: GODSENT (GOD) vs. Fnatic (FNC)
  • 6:00 p.m: Team Liquid (TL) vs. Evil Geniuses (EG)

Vitality vs. BIG Clan

The first match of Friday's three-game cs_summit6 slate is between Vitality and BIG Clan in the European upper bracket final, with both sides coming in as two of the most in-form teams in the world. BIG Clan are the favorites to advance to the grand final and it's nearly impossible to argue against the German side, in fact, I call them the best team in the world. Vitality do pose a substantial threat to the Germans and ZywOo, the best player in the world, is one of the few AWPer's who will favor their chances to take down syrsoN. BIG Clan are the scariest team in the world, offering some of the most multi-faceted threats of any lineup in the world - XANTARES, syrsoN and tabseN three of the most lethal players around, backed up by tiziaN and k1to, two deadly support players. Vitality on the other hand are more single-minded, but when the focal point of your team is the greatest player alive, then it's a good idea to build around the AWP of ZywOo. These two sides are likely to end up on Dust2, Nuke and Overpass, a veto that should favor the dominant German side who will look to take down ZywOo and co. and move into yet another grand final.

Prediction: 2-1 BIG Clan

Prediction: 2-1 BIG Clan

VIT Players to Target: ZywOo ($15,600 Captain, $10,400 Flex)

BIG Players to Target: tabseN ($12,600 Captain, $8,400 Flex), XANTARES ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)

GODSENT vs. Fnatic

The second match of the day is the European fifth-place decider and the most one-sided match of the day as Fnatic look to turn around a poor end to cs_summit6 with a victory over GODSENT. This is a match that should put an exclamation point on an overall average event for Fnatic with the Swedes the heavy favorites over the international side of GODSENT, though with new addition farlig and the poor form of JW, there is plenty of upset potential. The key to this match will be the riflers on either side - if zehN and STYKO can match Brollan and KRIMZ then GODSENT will have a good chance to pull off the upset, whereas if Brollan shows the form he did against BIG Clan, Fnatic should walk the match. Look for a Nuke, Inferno and Overpass veto, a selection of maps that Fnatic will be favored on, though GODSENT have shown heavy upset potential on both Nuke and Inferno. The value here should come from the Swedish side, but in an event filled with upsets and surprises it would be fitting for GODSENT to end with one more big shock.

Prediction: 2-0 Fnatic

GOD Players to Target: farlig ($13,800 Captain, $9,200 Flex)

FNC Players to Target: Brollan ($14,700 Captain, $9,800 Flex), KRIMZ ($11,400 Captain, $7,600 Flex)

Team Liquid vs. Evil Geniuses

The final match of the day is the North American upper bracket final, and one of the more storied matches in the history of North American CS:GO as Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses match off with the winner securing a slot in the grand final. Team Liquid come in as the slight favorites, though on form and position in the world rankings EG will be confident of their chances to take the victory. EG have been indomitable off the back of incredible form from CeRq and Brehze, who have posted simply incredible numbers thus far in cs_summit6. Team Liquid have struggled for consistency, though not in a negative way, the team has had threats from all angles, with different players showing up in different matches. The issue for Team Liquid will come as their competition becomes more elite and they look towards the consistent firepower of NAF and EliGE to take them through. If either of their two riflers fail to show up, as both have done recently, Team Liquid need to fill the gap of either of the two elite riflers, a role that both Twistzz and Stewie2k have tried to fill. The map veto is likely to end up on Mirage, Inferno and Dust2, three maps that both sides will like their chances on, one of the most neutral and old-school maps selections possible. Look for excellent AWPing from CeRq as he faces off against a Team Liquid who lack a main AWPer, with Stewie2k attempting to take up the mantle.

Prediction: 2-1 Evil Geniuses

TL Players to Target: EliGE ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex), NAF ($11,700 Captain, $7,800 Flex)

EG Players to Target: CeRq ($10,800 Captain $7,200 Flex), Brehze ($10,200 Captain, $6,800 Flex)
