Geoffrey Stein from Mock Draft Central recently hosted an early mock draft with some industry pros. It was a standard 12-team league draft with 15 rounds. The scoring system was field goal percentage, free throw percentage, points, treys made, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.

What's on my mind heading into Thursday's NBA draft:

For all the talk about how the Clippers can't screw this one up with Blake Griffin sitting there for them at #1, the reality of the situation is that they certainly can (and will probably find a way to). The Clippers have been nearly as bad when it comes to player development as they have been with evaluating/drafting prospects. Even if they do end up drafting Griffin first overall, Clipper nation shouldn't be breathing a sigh of relief just yet.

The Oklahoman is a Mouthpiece, Not a Newspaper

One of the most irritating aspects of the team formerly known as the Sonics playing in Oklahoma City this season was the coverage by the local newspaper, The Oklahoman.

Now, a certain level of enthusiasm is expected from any hometown paper, and perhaps more so in this case considering the circumstances. But the level to which The Oklahoman sunk this season could go down as an all-time low in the history of sports journalism. Frankly, it wasn't journalism. Most of the time it was like reading a cross between a high school newspaper and team press releases.
