Profile: Luke Hoover
Luke Hoover fell in love with football at the age of 7. That love blossomed every fall weekend when, with enamored, twinkling eyes, he watched in awe as Notre Dame full-house backfielded its way to victories. He carried the family torch to the Golden Dome where, as a student manager, he received assists from Justin Tuck in moving tackling dummies and had a tooth chipped while practicing with the women’s basketball team. Luke’s top two teams, the Packers (reality) and Spiderpigs (fantasy), are in the championship hunt every year, while his Fighting Irish and Knicks continue to languish in an abysmal state of disrepair. Although genetics held him back as an athlete, Luke intends to dunk a basketball before turning 30, despite being 5’9’’, white and the exact opposite of a leaper, like a stander or runner or something.
