Week 4 NFL Live Blog
It looks as if all of the possible RB injury-related pick ups this week could end up being duds - BUF, MIA, DEN - they all had their starters get better as the week went on. I'm assuming that Ryan Williams was already owned in the vast majority of leagues.

Why I Traded Drew Brees
I recently traded Drew Brees to Rotowire's Kevin Payne in the Stopa Law Firm League. I'm not going to say who I received in return, as I don't want this blog to turn into a debate about who got the better return in the deal. Instead, I want to explain why I was willing to trade Brees, someone I would have considered virtually untradeable a few weeks ago.

Rotowire Injury Analysis: Fantasy Football Week 3
It's time for Week 3 Injury Analysis with some updates on previous injuries. Once again, feel free to comment about the posts or to ask about other players you're interested in that were not listed below.
Reggie Bush: In this past weekend, he was forced to leave the game at the end of the first half after suffering a knee injury. While at first the injury looked like it may be significant given his history of injuries to that knee, it was a good sign that he was on the sideline....
C.J. Spiller: This injury is a tough one for all Bills fans and his fantasy owners to swallow because......
Updates:
Fred Jackson: He appears to be on his way back to the lineup and just in time as Spiller took a spill last week and looks to be sidelined for at least next game and maybe more. Jackson said there was a 70-75% chance of him returning to the lineup this weekend....

Week 3 Observations
Just as former Twins manager Tom Kelly said Mariano Rivera belonged in a higher league than the majors,
Steve Smith belongs in a more aggressive league than the NFL.

Week 3 NFL Live Blog
In one league I left myself perilously thin at running back and have to start Steven Jackson, after getting outbid on Andre Brown. It's a 16-teamer, so the waiver wire is brutal. So I ask you, who is this week's Andre Brown? Who will we all be bidding on?

Rotowire Injury Analysis: Fantasy Football Week 2
Aaron Hernandez: Hernandez was helped off the field last week after sustaining an ankle sprain that looked an awful lot like it was going to be a fracture or a high ankle sprain.
What does all this mean to your fantasy team? You should expect him to be out for at least 1 month and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is longer.....

My Top-15 Overall for 2013
It's never too early to contemplate next year's draft board, and with only two weeks to play, I don't suspect it will change all that much between now and the end of the year.

Week 2 Observations
Even though Stephen Gostkowski's shanked field goal knocked me out of all five of my survivor pools, it didn't affect me the way it would have were it not preceded by an unbelievably bad fumble by Ryan Williams that made the attempt even possible. Once you've already accepted your fate, you no longer dread it in the same way. And even the possibility that I would survive the New England pick cheered me up to the point that the eventual loss didn't especially bother me. It also helped that the Giants had just had their own dramatic comeback and unlike the Patriots saw it through.

Don't Wait for Waivers - Week 2
I decided to follow the maxim “better late than never” and at least give owners a little time to examine this piece and potentially add one of these names before kickoffs start in under a couple hours.

Rotowire Injury Analysis: Fantasy Football Week 1
Fred Jackson: In Sunday’s game against the NY Jets, Fred Jackson sustained an injury to his knee that at first glance seemed to be pretty significant. However, one must note that while his left leg was the one that appeared to be significantly injured, it was in fact his right knee that had the injury. The injury per MRI results (that apparently were inconclusive) was a sprain of his Lateral Collateral Ligament, or LCL. The mechanism of his injury is consistent with this LCL sprain however it is important to note that it is definitely rare to have an isolated injury to the LCL.
What does all this mean to your fantasy team? Just because Fred Jackson says he will definitely be back in 4 weeks, I would be very cautious in this situation and I think in the next week we will have better information regarding the true extent of his injury as it could be just an LCL injury (Grade I=1-2 weeks for recovery, Grade II=4-6 weeks for recovery) or it could be much more significant that could have him out for even a couple months. Hold onto him because he’s too good to give up on now, but keep an eye out this time next week and I’ll likely have a much better assessment for you once they can get a better exam and/or MRI.
Pierre Garcon: While he scored an 86 yard touchdown reception, he somehow came out of it with a “foot injury”..........
