What to Watch: Week 13 in College Football (Part II)

Will the Big Ten end in a three-way tie?  Who will win the ACC Atlantic?  Who will win the Big 12 South?  All those questions should be answered Saturday...

(Early) Monday Morning Thoughts

Again, some of my thoughts early this week.

What We Learned in the Premier League This Weekend

Man City may be the new sheriff in town, while Tottenham proves again that they can play with anybody on the planet.

NFL Week 11 Live Blog

A ton of late injury problems this week - the Colts and the Chargers are a nightmare to handicap right now. I don't think you can gamble with starting Antonio Gates this week.

Throwing Some Wood On The Hot Stove

It's almost Thanksgiving. That means the old hot stove is heating up. It should be a great off-season.

2011 NFL Draft Thoughts (Quarterbacks)

Some preliminary judgments on a few names who could play important fantasy roles a year from  now.

Cy Young, Wins and Nonsense

Felix Hernandez won the Cy Young award on Thursday, which no doubt has people like Murray Chass wringing their hands because of Hernandez's 13-12 record. I think Hernandez deserved the award, though I can see the merits of a couple other pitchers.

What has my mind boggled, however, is that Hernandez ended up fourth on one ballot and fifth on another.

Week 10 Observations

This is going to be a short one, since I'm posting via airplane wi-fi, and we're starting our descent into New York.
  • It's only the first quarter, but I'm not loving the Redskins getting three at home as my best bet anymore.

DVR recaps Week 10 in the NFL with Butch Stearns of The Pulse Network (Note: Make sure your speakers aren't turned up too loud, the settings on my mic were turned up.)

MLS Doesn't Get What They Want

FCD and Colorado fans don't want to hear it, but their MLS Cup final is a nightmare outcome for Major League Soccer.

    Monday Morning Thoughts

    My take on Week 10.

    NFL Week 10 Live Blog

Back to whatever qualifies as normal this week. I have no faith in my Bengals against the Colts today.

    My AL Tout Wars team
We did the AL Tout Wars draft Saturday morning, once again in "The Bubble" at the Sirius/XM studios. It was a different Tout experience than my usual drafts at Tout - lately I haven't paid for closers there, or spent much on my outfielders. But I'm also one to take the values where they fall. So to that end, here's my squad:
    My NFBC Recap
I have never been one to hold up to peer pressure well. Since Peter, Jeff, and Chris did a NFBC challenge, I had to join the cool kids and do one too.

My entry in the RotoWire Fantasy Baseball Online Championship was Monday night. Here's my quick take on the draft - this is a 12-team mixed league, 5x5 categories, 30 rosters spots (23 active), with no trades in the league. It has a top prize of $50,000 and a league prize of $1,400.
